Pricing Management
Automatic Coupon Ring Up PDF Print E-mail
Stores cannot be busy all the time. During off-peak times, encourage store traffic by reducing all items in the store by a fixed amount. You can do this by using the Automatic Coupon Ring Up, which is controlled at the POS only with a store manager access code. Customers have used it to discount all items in the store by a fixed amount between certain times, or to offer early bird specials for shoppers who shop before a certain date.

When this feature is activated all items are discounted by the fixed amount at the time of scan.

Discounts or Price Changes PDF Print E-mail
You can modify a price on the CAS by using a discount or a price change.

When you do a price change, the customer receipt only reflects the new price. If you modify the price using an item discount on the CAS, the item will ring up at the original price and show the amount discounted on the customer receipt. Using this feature you do not have to reprice the product, but can utilize % off signage.

Price changes are more effective if you are permanently changing a price point. Modifying a price using a discount is more effective when you are offering special pricing to move a product.

In InvenTrak 3.0, the receipts reflect the amount that the customer saved at the bottom of the receipt.

Prices are not always uniform throughout a sale or season, so Post-Dated Price Changes are available on the CAS. Using the CAS interface, users can enter a price change, modify tax rates or embed a discount rate to an item and set an effective date for the changes to take place. The changes will be in effect when the local time on the client matches the CAS defined time.

This feature has been used for setting price change updates for seasonal items and managing price changes for advertised sales.

A price book is created when normal prices are modified for a specific store. For example, the same store with locations across the country would have all the same prices. A price book would be created if user wanted to make the prices higher in only west coast stores. The price book he created would be a west coast stores price book.

User enters in all of the item SKUs and their prices to create a price booklet. He can also modify discounts or coupons on this screen as well by typing in the old value and the new value. This is done to allow items to be sold inside individual stores for different amounts than what is listed in the master item table.
